From being dragged to the mountains against my will every weekend, BIG UP Mom and Dad!
To spending my weekly allowance so that I could shred on my shredstick. There’s always been so much snow in my life growing up and I knew there was more to it then ambushing girls with snowballs.
I grew up skiing in Norway with my little brother and graduated to snowboarding after walking by a local shop in downtown Bergen. I was hooked and I never even tried it yet.
Voss was the place where it all went down, hitting everything in sight on the way down. BIG UP to that whole crew who still rips it up there!
I remember looking at my buddy (Angus) back in the day and telling him that I was gonna be a pro snowboarder no matter what it will take. That day I stuck my first bs 360.
Now I travel the world in search for the epic white and document it with the Absinthe family, BIG UP Absinthe!
Seeing different places and meeting new people along the way inspires me every day!
Looking back at my line so far; all I can do is smile knowing that I’m not even half done writing that signature.
Snowboarding isn’t what it used to be, not that changes are a bad thing. I look to the people who used to rip it and then I look at some of the people ripping it now… Hmmmm.
There are riders and shredders out there that make snowboarding what it truly is, can you tell me who?
What I’m trying to say is that it’s all YOURS.
At YES. we are trying to create free ground and space so that you can decide what snowboarding is, instead of what SMART marketing might tell you it is!
