I was born and raised in a little town called Saint Jovite, about 10 minutes from the ski hill Mont-Tremblant. I got into the snow sports at an early age, I started with skiing for a couple years but then i started seeing those funny looking guys with their funny looking clothes terrifying the local slopes on their snowboards! That was in the 1990′s and snowboarders were not seen with a good eye by most people on the slopes! That made me wanna become one of them, be a rebel!!! And it looked so much more fun!!!
From the day I first started riding, I became obsessed with it. That’s all that was important to me and all that was on my mind, at home , at school, everywhere! So I got into the provincial contest circuit and that’s when I met DCP. That was a long long time ago and Dave was just killing it, being a great inspiration for us all back in Quebec.
I was getting decent results riding pipe and the big air contests. Then I got approached by Patryck Bernier who was working for the Canadian division of this french snowboard company and wanted to put me on their program. So that helped me make the move out west, and that’s how I fell in love with backcountry riding. The first years were hard learning but I was riding with experienced people like J-F Pelchat and Martin Gallant, who thought me a lot about the big mountains!
I have been spending my winters in whistler for the last 10 years now, living the ups and down of a snowboarder’s life! I have been riding a lot of different boards from different companies in the last 2 years, Then this past winter DCP came by my house and gave me a yes board to try out! I have been riding Yes boards since and now I’m getting on their team!
I am Looking forward to riding with the boys this winter and to getting involved with great projects with YES NOW BOARDS !!!
See you out there!
